So, this was technically Easter Monday (in Canada). More and More people are finding out (or noticing) so we figured that we should go ahead and tell the kids before they found out from another source. This was the first time we've had kids old enough to really grasp the "we're having an new baby" idea so it was fun to see their reactions...or lack of.

Bad to Good to Awful to Awesome!
Well, I guess we'll start with the "Bad". A few weeks ago the transmission went on Josh's car. It wasn't really an option to have him keep driving around with out being able to go above 45mph. We went back and forth on whether or not to buy a new car or just fix this one in hope that it would last us through the rest of residency...we really did not want to add a car payment into the mix just yet! So, in went the transmission...and the car was driving better than ever! (That's the "Good" part).
About a week after we picked the car up from the shop Josh had his first ever fender bender...in the Taurus! Thankfully the other car was untouched, ours was not so lucky... this is the "Awful" part (if you ask Zac about it he says " Dad's car got some humps and bumps and holes all over it!")
My Dad had arrived the night before the accident and the timing couldn't have been better! He became the designated babysitter for the next 2 days while we test drove cars and finalized paper work on our first ever Brand New Car! We definitely never thought we would be buying a new car in residency but that's how things worked out! We bought a 2009 Ford Fusion and Josh couldn't be happier! Every time he pulls into the driveway he's beaming- with his windows down, the sunroof open and the "Chill" station cranked on the stereo. This is the "Awesome" part...
